Double Polished Orthoceras Fossil in Matrix (approx 100-130 mm/4-5")

Morocco

The study of complex creatures that inhabited the Earth millions of years ago takes us to the orthoceras (straight horn). It is a genus of extinct nautiloid cephalopod, an ancestor of the squid. Orthoceras fossils are common and have a global distribution, occuring in any marine rock, especially limestones. Orthoceras are slender, elongate shells with the middle of the body constricted, and a subcentral orthochoanitci siphuncle. The surface is ornamented by a network of fine lirae.

These formations are over 400 million years old and connect us to ancient earth wisdom. They enhance life-force energy and activate the root chakra, pushing us on the path of transformation to who we want to be. Orthoceras fossils help us learn from our mistakes to move forward and grow.
