In ancient Egypt, the literal translation of Merkaba is broken down by syllable to mean Mer (rotating fields of light) Ka (spirit), and Ba (soul). One of the Sacred Geometry forms, the Merkaba is believed to achieve transformation on all levels of existence. In Hebrew, Merkaba translates to "Chariot." The Merkaba literally becomes a vehicle for ascension. Merkabas are tetrahedrons, formed by the intersection of two, three-sided pyramids. The Merkaba is the geometric shape of the human energy field (or aura) and it is used to assist in spiritual transformation, as well as helping to connect with our Higher Selves. These shapes are believed to form a spiritual shield around the holder and are very useful for healing the chakras and during meditation.
