Named after the seraphim—the highest order of angels—seraphinite is prized not only for its spiritual symbolism but also for its unique mineralogical structure and lush, mossy green hues. Geologically, Seraphinite is a variety of clinochlore, a member of the chlorite group of minerals. It forms in metamorphic environments, often associated with deep hydrothermal activity and ultramafic rocks. Its striking silvery sheen is caused by fine, mica-like inclusions aligned in parallel, giving it its trademark iridescent "feathers." It is thought to be a stone of spiritual enlightenment and supports connection with the spiritual world. It detoxifies both the physical and the spiritual bodies, encourages positive energy, and cleanses the aura, activating and balancing the entire chakra system.
